Originally from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire,

we have been at Magdalen House since 1994. Lorna is an occupational therapist who runs her own consultancy business and Keith is a semi retired School Teacher.

Looking to make a lifestyle change and return to family roots we came to the Norfolk village of Methwold.  Magdalen House provided us with the perfect opportunity in a property with prospects for a B&B and achieving that idyllic rural quiet location for our home.

In the years since coming to the area and setting up we have established Magdalen House as a fine B&B and extended the property to create “Next Door”, a purpose built Self-Catering apartment. We are proud to say that both parts are now providing  what  seems to be much appreciated accommodation for our guests, whilst Magdalen House is our comfortable family home.  Guest Book

We believe the surroundings, atmosphere and decor that we have applied to Magdalen House, put together with the hospitallity we try to provide all serves to make a stay at either the B&B or “Next Door“  a very enjoyable one. We are delighted to say that many visitors return time and time again.

With our love of all things equestrian, we were thrilled to be afforded the space at Magdalen House to keep horses. Our driving horses “Bobby D” & “Del Boy” allow us to offer guests, visitors and locals the chance of an open horse drawn carriage ride, just for fun or that special occasion.
