Carriage Rides

Carriage rides are offered from Magdalen House, at extra cost. Simple pleasure rides from here at Magdalen House to a wide variety of locations in the area, or just a leisurely trot through the country lanes. A fantastic way to travel and unwind and see the wonders of the surrounding countryside.

Horse Carriage Experience Days

      Our 1 or 2 day Horse Carriage Experience options allow you to have a basic understanding of our horses, their care, training and management.

      We spend time looking at how they behave, how and why we groom them. You will then have a try at lunging and long reining them,under our supervision, and after an included lunch we will demonstrate tacking up and go for a drive.

      If you are taking the 2 day option you will have time to try out what you experienced on day 1. After lunch you tack up while we watch and advise. The day ends with a drive out in the local countryside.

Groom for the Day

      Spend an unforgettable day with us and our wonderful horses, relaxing at the end of the day with a leisurely hour's drive in the carriage through the countryside of West Norfolk.

Pub Lunch

      What better way to arrive for that informal pub lunch? We take you to the pub to enjoy the local cuisine and then collect you afterwards. A fantastic way to relax and let the dinner go down!
